Through local and national partnerships, Living Free Together (LFT) has been offering lifegiving emotional support and community to military families in the Charlottesville area since 2015. All veterans and their family members of all branches of service are welcome and encouraged to join in on the fun year-round. (Click here for more information about Living Free Together)

After the challenges of the last few years, LFT is realizing that our veteran community needs a positive and healthy boost. In an effort to offer that boost and to support more of our local military and first responder families, we are planning a large-scale event, Saturday November 5th called, Ruck The Ridge, at Blue Ridge School in beautiful St. George, Va - 20 minutes from Charlottesville airport.

Ruck The Ridge will be a dual experience ruck hike with a festival atmosphere and obstacles to create a memorable challenge. One course will offer a team course experience open to participants of all ages while the other course offering will be a timed solo event that is more challenging with solo obstacles along the way. We can expect lots of coverage and excitement about this event since CBS News has graciously agreed to be the local promotion sponsor.
